Refunds & Cancellation

Last updated September 2026

The short version

Fourteen days, any reason, no questions. Cancel whenever you like and keep what you paid for until the period ends. We never charge for a renewal we did not tell you about.

Fourteen days to change your mind

If you are unhappy with a subscription for any reason, ask for a refund within fourteen days of the payment and you will get all of it back. You do not need to explain why, and it does not matter how much of the product you used in the meantime.

This applies to every customer, everywhere. Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK have a statutory right of withdrawal on distance contracts; this policy is deliberately wider than that right, so there is nothing to work out about where you live or whether you have opened the app.

The one thing it does not cover is a subscription that renewed more than fourteen days ago. Cancelling stops the next renewal — see below.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time from your account page. There is no cancellation fee, no notice period, and nothing to email anybody about.

Cancelling does not cut you off immediately. You keep everything you paid for until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it simply does not renew after that. Your account stays, and drops back to the free five questions a day.

Who you are actually paying

Payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for this product. That means Paddle is the seller on the receipt, charges any VAT or sales tax due where you live, and is who processes a refund when we approve it.

Because of this, the name on your bank or card statement will be Paddle rather than Homeworkify. A charge you do not recognise is far more likely to be this than fraud — please check before disputing it, because a dispute closes the account automatically while it is investigated.

How to ask

Email support@homeworkifyeu.com from the address on the account, and say which payment you mean. You can also contact Paddle directly using the link on your receipt.

We will never ask you for card details, a full card number, or a password in order to process a refund. Nobody at Homeworkify or Paddle needs them, and anyone who asks is not us.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Once we approve one, how long it takes to appear is your bank's business rather than ours — usually a few days, occasionally up to ten.

If a payment fails

A failed renewal does not close your account. Paddle retries it and emails you; the subscription stays active while that happens, because an expired card is not the same thing as wanting to leave.

If it never succeeds, the subscription ends and the account returns to the free tier. Nothing is deleted.

What we do not refund

We are not able to refund a payment more than fourteen days old, or a period that has already been used and renewed since. There is no other exception, and no part of this policy is designed to be hard to use.
